Is Porn Gay? – Is It Harming Or Helping Homosexuality?

Pornography has come under much scrutiny in recent years, and there have been a number of high-profile campaigns to ban pornography from being accessed by children. However, if you look closely, you’ll find that there’s no evidence that pornography is actually harming children in a significant way. This is an argument which has been widely made against pornography legislation, and while some people will claim that porn is just bad for society, others say that it’s a necessary evil.

This is because pornography is often used as an excuse to harass and attack people who are not straight, gay, lesbian or transgendered, and pornography is often used as an excuse for sexual abuse. If we were to ban pornography from the UK, this wouldn’t make any difference to those who engage in it, but it might stop someone from abusing their partner because they’re worried about what it’s doing to their partner.

This makes a lot of sense, because if we were to ban pornography outright, we would be limiting sexuality education and information about sexuality to heterosexual couples only, limiting children’s access to information about their own sexuality. As well as limiting sexuality education, pornography also leaves kids in a vulnerable position when it comes to sexual relationships.

When people are young, the concept of “dating”relationships” doesn’t really exist, and this can leave them with very little real understanding of how to express affection or desire and how to relate with others outside of the sex they identify as. Pornography can be used as a teaching tool and a way to introduce them to these concepts, but it’s not as important as these things. While pornography can be used to teach people how to behave towards one another, it’s the fact that the pornography they use also teaches children about relationships and sexuality, and that relationships and sexuality are two separate concepts.

It’s also not surprising to learn that there are a large number of gay people who identify as heterosexual. This means that a lot of the people who are accused of being gay are actually straight. Therefore, it’s unlikely that there is a significant link between porn and gay identity, even though some will claim that it does.

It seems that it’s impossible to say whether porn has a direct causal relationship to gay identity or sexual orientation. There is no direct evidence to show that porn causes a gay person to become gay, or vice versa.
